Day 8 - A picture of something you love

If you've never had a pedicure, you are missing out on one of life's best pampering treats (and my husband will tell you I love being pampered).
They say that the average person walks the equivalent of four times around the world in their lifetime.
No one thinks they have pretty feet; heck, I know mine are far from pretty, but that's not going to stop me from going to get a pedicure.
Don't you think your feet deserve a little pampering?

Day 7 - A picture of the best concert you ever went to

It just can not get much better than that! Of course that is my personal opinion. I had waited for years for Reba to come to town and be able to afford it. It was like a quadruple times better because she was coming with Kelly Clarkson. She was my favorite on American Idol from the first season and I was so excited when she won. My good friend Diane went with me and we had a great time singing along to each and every song.

Words just can't begin to describe how proud I am of my boy! He never ceases to amaze me with the questions he asks, the things he knows and just how awesome he is. He is a great friend to his sister and to others. He has the kindest and biggest heart. His love for the outdoors inspires me and his love for all things sports is amazing. My little miracle baby is one of the greatest gifts I will ever receive!

Olyvia Dawn

My little princess stole my heart from the very beginning. She, as many people point out, is the spitting image of her mommy. Still not sure if this is a good thing or not, but I will take it. She has the biggest imagination I have ever seen and exercises it every day! We are so proud of all the things she is learning in preschool. I am excited to see when she puts it all together and starts reading and spelling and just blooming with everything education! She loves her dolls/stuffed animals and dress up just as much as she loves being outside and getting dirty. She is convinced that she will play soccer and be a referee when she grows up. Look out world! For now I will take her just as she is, my little princess!

Day 5 - Picture of My Favorite Athlete

Several years ago I decided I needed a favorite baseball team. Having watched Johnny Damon play for the Wranglers (years and years ago), I decided to choose the Boston Red Sox. Within a couple of years Johnny Damon moved to play for the Yankees, and now the Rays. My allegiance was formed with the Red Sox and there I stay.


My favorite athlete, since it is baseball season, is Dustin Pedroia of the Boston Red Sox. Pedroia has had to earn respect bit by bit over the years. He's had to overcome every skeptic and cynic who thought he was too slow, his swing was too violent or his body -- generously listed as 5-foot-9, 180 pounds -- was too tiny and fragile to have sustained success at this level. He certainly answered the critics, earning Rookie of the Year honors in his first full season and the MVP Award in his second. (Taken from an article By Anthony Castrovince)

Day 4 - Favorite Place to Shop

I would have never stepped foot in this store if it weren't for my fabulous friend Monica. Now I have trouble staying away. The ladies that work in the Derby store are so sweet and of course helpful, sometimes too helpful! Although you can't see much of it, the shirt from Day 1 is from Maurices.



This is my buddy Lucas, who is not happy to have his picture taken with me and Olyvia. All three tops that I have on are from Maurices. I would say 5 out of 7 days I can be caught wearing at least one piece of clothing from Maurices!

Can't wait for my next trip!

Day 3 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show

NCIS: Los Angeles

If I am being totally honest I am a TV snob. I love to watch television and enjoy way too many shows to mention. Sam and I spend our time in the evenings after the kids have gone to bed watching shows we have recorded on the DVR (such a wonderful invention).
So, if I have to pick just one, it would be NCIS: Los Angeles. I could not find a picture of the full cast of the show, but these are currently the main players. I love the drama, suspense, the action, the comedy and just everything about it. I love trying to figure out the ending before it happens (and before Sam figures it out). Hopefully this show will continue for a few more seasons!

Day 02 - A Picture of the Place You Want to Visit Most

The place I want to visit most is Sydney, Australia.
More specifically is the Sydney Opera House.
Sydney (or Australia in general) is such beautiful place with so much to see and offer (or so I have seen and heard).
Shopping, Cafes, Beaches, Taronga zoo, & the Sydney Aquarium just to name a few amazing things that I would love to see.

Things I Discovered Yesterday

Yesterday I discovered Orange Leaf!

I have heard people rave about this place and now I am one of those people.
This great mural was on the wall at the 21st and Tyler location!

Not all that creative, but I was so overwhelmed by everything.

Putting Our Faith In Him!

Today was a rough day for Sam. I know it is hard for him being a "temp" at his job and not having any certainty in the future. Today I am reminded of where I need to put my faith. He has provided for us from the very start and He will keep providing everyday. Thank you God for your promises!
